This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website. It is written to reflect what this site actually does — nothing more.

By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We may update this policy from time to time; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version here. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical data needed to run the site securely.
- Founder application form. When you apply to build with us, we collect your name, email address, your company or project name (optional), a description of the workflow or idea you are building, your relevant edge or experience, your stage, and any links you provide.
- Newsletter sign-up. When you subscribe, we collect your email address.
- Direct contact. If you email us, we receive the contents of your message and your email address.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider automatically processes limited technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and request times) to deliver and secure the site.
How we use your information
- To assess and respond to founder applications and enquiries.
- To send you the newsletter you asked for, and let you unsubscribe at any time.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- To understand aggregate traffic to the site (such as page views and referrers) using privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that does not track you across sites or build a profile of you.
- To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. If we ever want to use your information for a materially different purpose, we will ask for your consent first.
Legal bases for processing
Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — for sending you our newsletter (you can withdraw it at any time).
- Legitimate interests — to review applications, respond to enquiries, and keep the site secure, where these do not override your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to retain or disclose information by law.
How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the Service, and only so they can perform that work on our behalf:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, security, and privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics (aggregate traffic measurement only).
- Google — receiving and storing founder applications (via Google Sheets) and sending us the related notification emails.
- EmailOctopus — managing newsletter subscriptions and delivering emails.
These providers may process data outside the UK (for example, in the United States); where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms. We may also disclose information where required to comply with applicable law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect rights, safety, and property. If our business is merged or acquired, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
How long we keep it
We keep application and enquiry information for as long as needed to consider it and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case we reconnect. We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe. We may retain certain information for longer where required for legal, accounting, or record-keeping purposes. Anonymous or aggregated information that does not identify you may be kept indefinitely.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to receive a copy of it; to restrict or object to how we process it; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@bitcoinstudios.xyz. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email we send. If you are in the UK or EEA and believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use very few cookies, and currently no analytics or advertising cookies. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-party links
Our Service may link to websites we do not operate. This policy does not cover the practices of those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Children
The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
